will speak about the EU’s role in the climate negotiations. Can the EU live up to public expectations and remain a frontrunner to reach a global deal on ambitious goals? How will the internal differences between Member States on financing and extension of Kyoto based emission rights affect the EU’s influence?
Mr. Davies is a leading figure in the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) on this topic, and a member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety of the European Parliament. He will participate in the negotiations.
